Alexi Halvorson is in her third year as a student assistant coach for the women's basketball team.
"Alexi does a great job for our athletics program," said coach Woodin. "She has a great work ethic and her contributions are very valuable. I have known her for years and look forward to working with her this season."
Halvorson is a member of the track team at MSUB. She led the team in scoring with a school record 135 points, was third in the discus at the GNAC Outdoor Track Championships, led the GNAC in discus with a throw of 142'9", which placed her 22nd nationally and holds school records in the indoor shot put and the outdoor discus and hammer and is second in the shot put. She is the daughter of Sharlo and Keith Halvorson. Halvorson is majoring in Biology and Pre-Physical Therapy.
